We must make government accountable. It has the responsibility to spend public funds wisely and efficiently. It is not the burden of the people to pay for state programs that do not provide sufficient benefit to the public.

Our economy is changing.
At the state level, sales tax revenue is falling. The composition of consumer activity needs to be reassessed in order to ensure a balanced budget. Changes to our revenue structure are essential; however, certain things must be protected.
Maintain or lower sales tax on food as well as essential medications and feminine hygiene products.
Reevaluate the effectiveness of tax incentives for large businesses and how they contribute to state funds. Utah shouldn't take a loss in order to benefit corporate profit.
